LOOKING BACK, MOVING FORWARD
The sight of young people employing their gifts and talents not only to pass exams, get awards in the sport field, but also in serving the needy in the community around us has been very gratifying. Our senior scholars participated in teaching Sunday school at Junior school, leading in worship, making presentations during Sunday Chapel worship to spending time on Thursday afternoon not only cheering up pupils of Chania and Kirimara Primary schools but also helping them with their academic work, life-skills, sports and singing. They are also helping women in Chaka run their microfinance businesses was quite phenomenal.
In the various pastoral programs in both the junior and senior schools, we have been observing the young people learning the ropes of leadership and it’s encouraging to note that there are many learners who are growing spiritually, socially even as they grow intellectually and physically. We could not have realized this without the unswerving support of our Director, Mrs. Mwangi, management, staff, parents, friends of the school - including guest speakers - the co-operation of students and most of all the help of the Almighty God. The completion, equipping, dedication and opening of Grace Chapel has made our worship experience truly worthwhile. We had baptisms, confirmations, Holy Communion celebrations as well as special services in the course of the year for which we give God all the glory and honour. We are inspired to continue following God’s leading as we serve the students, staff, school community and others beyond our school.
